• MAJIK 3D Majik is a project to create an online role-playing environment set in a complete and ever-evolving medieval fantasy world with the help of modern 3D-technology. What is Majik 3D? Majik 3D is the fifth, and hopefully final, distinguishable incarnation of Majik. All of Majik's predecessors have been essentially MUDs, the fourth being a roguelike + MUD synthesis, but Majik 3D is a 3-dimensional RPG that uses a real hardware-accelerated 3D engine. At the moment Majik 3D is under heavy development.
• MAJOR MUD MajorMUD features almost 14,000 rooms to explore with a plethora of monsters, treasures, quests and traps just waiting for an adventurer like you! Combine that with the blazing speed of playing on dual dedicated T-1 connections and you get an unforgettable playing experience. MajorMUD is continually growing and expanding with each new module that is added. As the world enlarges, new adventures and quests are introduced, and new powers are granted to player's characters.
• MALEVOLENCE Welcome to Malevolence! A richly detailed world awaits you on Malevolence. Hundreds of areas with thousands of rooms, some of the smartest monsters found anywhere, and a staff dedicated to providing a pleasant playing environment are a few of the things you will find on Malevolence. Many new areas and bits of interesting code are appearing on Malevolence now. Some new creators are hard at work creating new areas for you to explore. Bugs are being worked out and new features are being added all the time.
• MERENTHA Merentha is set in a fantasy genre simular to what J.R.R. Tolkien wrote of. Basic Plot: Kill things, get equipment to fight better with, and learn new skills and locations. And if you're lucky, every once in a while a 'god' will pity us mere mortals and run a little quest for us all to have fun on. Fun Part: Yeah, you get to kill things, but unlike boring games where all you do is kill, kill, kill, you actually get to go exploring and get to interact with other real life people.
• MIRKWOOD Mirkwood is a MUD, which stands for Multi User Dungeon or Multi User Dimension depending upon whom you ask. Basically, Mirkwood is a place where people from all over the world can log on to interact with each other and play a vast game. It's free and everyone is welcome to play, provided they behave at least somewhat reasonably. After you've logged onto Mirkwood and created a character, type 'help rules.'.
• MIRRORS OF THE WHEEL Mirrors of the Wheel was started as a wild idea in five friends minds who played and/or Imm'd at another Wheel of Time themed MUD and wanted to explore different ideas and concepts. Over the past two years those five friends have gathered in and lost numerous people from the WOT mudding community, including four of the original five Creators. We thank all those people for their contributions and credit their work within the MUD where applicable.

• MUD II MUD (Multi-User-Dungeon) is a multi-user online game, played in a timeless alternative reality. MUD2 is the latest version of the very first MUD, which coined the name. The game has been running in one form or another since 1978 - with the benefits of its remarkable history and continuous development, MUD2 is the one of the best and most fulfilling MUDs available.
• MULTI USERS IN MIDDLE EARTH MUME is a free multiplayer roleplaying game based upon J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle Earth that has been continuously enhanced since fall '91. Explore this meticulously crafted world during its late Third Age.
• MYRRADEL Myrradel is a heavily modified UltraEnvy all-playerkiller MUD. With a subclassing system, players can choose to become more specialized in their class after level 30.
• MYSTICAL MUD Welcome to the realm of Mystical MUD! Adventure into a mysterious world with warriors, thieves, mages, clerics and illusionists. Encounter mighty dragons, agile elves, unforgiving demons and many other races. Mystical is a DIKU based mud and features over 8,500 rooms for your mudding pleasure. Mystical has a highly competent and creative imm staff, who are always ready to help. New areas, items and skills are constantly being added to keep the mud new and exciting.
• NECROMIUM It began at a time when civilization was reaching it's highest peak ever. Rulers were just and fair, scholars roamed the lands, and peace reigned. Large and successful cities were in abundance and between the cities there was plenty of lucrative trade. People were happy and feared no evils in the Time of The Blessed, year 358 after Normaar. It was because of this feeling of peace that the people of Pelard, as they named their land, were completely unprepared for the calamity that was approaching from the distance. It is still unknown at this time if the evil approaching was from the stars, skies, or heavens. Perhaps none shall ever know for sure...
• NIGHT MIST Nightmist Online is a Partially Text-based MuD ( Multi-User Dungeon). That is to say, there are many players from around the world at the same time. You begin by generating your own character, with strengths and weaknesses which are individual to you. You choose your class, and your race. Next you are put into a medieval world, where there are monsters, and players, shops, taverns, guilds, and all sorts of other things. What will you do? Perhaps you will seek out the legendary Gorgon Beast, and bring back some trophy? Or maybe you would prefer to become a thief, hiding and stealing gold off players and monsters.. It is your choice, so choose wisely!
• NODEKA Nodeka is an ever-expanding online role playing game. Nodeka is text based, but don’t be fooled, the Nodekian world is interlaced with complexities and challenge, where players struggle against each other and imagination is your only boundary. The world consists of 57 playable races, and 54 playable classes. With 300 total levels and 8 primary attributes, each of which can be trained individually to 300, the depth of Nodeka is immense. Nodeka has been and continues to be developed by Justin Gottschlich.
• PENDULUS Back and forth doth the Pendulum swing. A never ending shift from Darkness, to Light, to Darkness once again. Through the centuries the Pendulum hast swung its unending metronomic course, never waivering from its predestined path. Wars arose and bequelled themselves as did times of great prosperity gave way to times of balance, to times of utter despair and back to balance and prosperity again. The Pendulum swings, the world changes, the names and faces of the powers of the world change, but they doth fill the same roles as their ancestors, the battle between the Darkness and the Light, the existence of the world in what it knows as life.
• POKE MUSH PokeMUSH: Pokemon Evolutions is an online game which allows people to play (role-play) in the same world which Ash, Brock, Misty and their friends live. Based solely on the television cartoon (first series), our friendly staff and mature player base means that there's plenty of good roleplay to be had.
• REALM OF DESPAIR Realms of Despair is a popular multiplayer interactive medieval adventure game (a MUD). It is text based, but supports ANSI color and RIP graphics... and can be very addictive.
• REALM OF THE FORGOTTEN Realm of the forgotten, features 191 mortal levels, parameterized content generation system and over 240,000 rooms. More than 200 spells and 100 skills to pick from! Several unique class-based abilities per class....
• RETROMUD RetroMUD is a text-based M.ulti-U.ser D.ungeon in which you take on the role of a Gifted One. Gifted Ones are trapped in a universe known as the Retroverse, which consists of six massive worlds. An endless war between the Immortals and the Gods rage as the Immortals seek to keep reality together by sealing the Rift, and the Gods seek to escape the Retroverse prison by collecting souls. Traversing these six worlds, battling with magic and steel, Gifted Ones use their unique powers to forge their own futures, and claim allegiance to either side or to themselves alone.
• REVELATION Revelation is an online, text based, fantasy roleplaying game for the all Windows operating systems. It can be best compared to a MUD, but it is much more than that. The game client has a fully graphical interface, which makes the game simpler to play as well as more immersive. The actual game is going to be much deeper and more involved than most traditional muds, with a fully implemented PvP system in which the ultimate goal is empire building. (Free)
• ROGUE WINDS Welcome to Rogue Winds. Rogue Winds is a MUD based on an original world named Lezaria, and the vast multiverse surrounding it, littered with strange creatures, powerful and unique artifacts, vast terrain and bustling cities. You never know what to expect, for strange new things enter the world every day, and the world changes before your eyes. This is not like your usual MUD. Expect the unexpected.
• SEA OF STORMS The Sea of Storms is a rpg set in a mirror world a few years before the start of book 1. The Aiel War never happened in this mirror world, so Rand al'Thor was not born on the slopes of the Dragonmount and King Laman did not cut down the seedling from the Tree of Life. All other historical information remains unchanged, except for the identies of currently living book characters. No characters from the books, with the exception of forsaken, will appear.

• SHARUNE Sharune MUD (Multi-User-Dungeon) is a massively online multi-player game. The game is based on the unique world of Sharune, in the Era of Blood and Steel. The setting is fantasy based, with some flavors from the famous world created by Tolkien. Here you can find elves, orcs and goblins in a constant war of the realm. The game has full PKILL (player vs player killing), but is based around a racewar setting between good and evil. The both sides are divided and cannot interact in other means than war. This means that you will not find a friendly orc if you are an elf yourself.
• SHATTERED KINGDOMS Shattered Kingdoms is a sword and sorcery fantasy world. Currently, five of the six kingdoms are available for citizenship as a new character; the last will be added in the future. Each of the six kingdoms in the realms is controlled by one of the player-run cabals which are open to membership. While the leader of the cabal may not be the actual leader of the kingdom, they do speak for them and wield power in their name. Training and equipment both are skill and level based, and equipment is saved. We have extended race and class selections, though no multi classes is allowed.
• SKYFALL Welcome to Skyfall: Twin Worlds, an online multiplayer role-playing game. Although text-based, Skyfall is not a MUD, a MUSH, or a chatroom but rather a more involving and creative game. For those of you who have played table top role-playing games before, you will find Skyfall to be similar to an adventure session. However, the world continues to persist between sessions and you are not limited to one group of players to adventure with. For those of you who have played role playing games on the computer or console, you will find Skyfall to be a different experience. More of a story telling experience, Skyfall extents the world in a way limited only by the imagination.

• STAR CONQUEST Star Conquest is a science fiction roleplaying game, designed to immerse its players in the civilization humanity has formed in approximately the year 2300.
• STORM BRINGER Stormbringer is an online environment created for those mudders who wish to play in a role-playing environment, but not to the point where such things as global channels or being able to keep playing even though you 'die' are taken away. Stormbringer is set up to be realistic in order to make things fair and to create an excellent role-playing environment, but not so much that everything is painstakingly realistic -- after all, this is a game, and is meant to be unrealistic.
